After years of speculation, publishing studio, Bethesda Softworks, has finally gone on the record to officially announce the development of “The Elder Scrolls Online,” a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). Another MMORPG you may have heard of, World of Warcraft. “The Elder Scrolls Online” is being by developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and will most likely drop next year.

After the stunning success of “Modern Warfare 3,” Activision is once again dropping another annual “Call of Duty” title this holiday season. The next addition to the COD franchise will be the sequel to 2010′s “Black Ops,” and will transport gamers to the future in the year 2025. Like its predecessor, “Black Ops II” will be developed by Treyarch.

Solid design, but am I supposed to get excited about Starhawk’s release?

The spiritual successor to “Warhawk,” “Starhawk” takes place on a distant planet that is colonized and known as the “Frontier.” There, they harvest rift energy and fend off their mines from outcasts, violent people who have become transformed by the energy they mine. “Starhawk” is published by Sony Computer Entertainment and will hit shelves May 8th.
